Thanks to Chronicling America and LSU, we are able to view digital copies of the Louisiana Democrat. The following article reveals to the reader the plans of the Rapides Cemetery Association to raise funds for future improvements of the cemetery grounds for the betterment of the community.

Mark your calendars now for our monthly clean up. November 29th at 8:00 a.m. we will meet and work on a couple clean projects at the Historic Rapides Cemetery, 201 Hatti Street, Pineville, Louisiana. Please forward this post to anyone you think would be interested in helping us with this project.
Below are pictures from our last clean up day. A special thank you to those who joined us from the Youth Challenge Program. Also, thanks to Jackson Sleet, Charles Charrier, Brent Morock, Fr. Chad Partain, Bobby Hynson and many, many, more who work tirelessly to preserve and upkeep this beautiful gem in Central Louisiana.

We have exciting news!! We have a history book in the works regarding the people and families of Alexandria. It is scheduled to be published in May 2015. The book will feature never before seen photographs, histories of the families and persons buried at the Rapides Historic Cemetery and we are inviting you to be a part of this epic work! Does your company have a history or profile? We are currently seeking businesses to add their company history and profile in the book.
